Hola Charlotte Festival: A Celebration of Culture, Community & Color
Saturday, October 3, 2026
Charlotte’s Hola Festival is basically Uptown’s annual glow‑up — a high‑energy celebration of Latin American culture that pulls in families, creators, performers, and food lovers from all over the city. For one day, the streets turn into a living mosaic of music, dance, flavor, and nonstop vibes. It’s the kind of event you wander into and instantly feel like you’re part of something bigger.
Festival Background
Hola Charlotte, organized by the Latin American Coalition, has grown into the largest Hispanic heritage festival in the Carolinas. Each year, it highlights the cultural richness of Latin America through performances, art installations, educational exhibits, and community engagement.
Music & Dance
Expect a lineup of live bands, folkloric dance troupes, and contemporary performers representing countries like Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. The rhythms range from salsa and merengue to mariachi and cumbia — all designed to get the crowd moving.
Food & Flavor
One of the festival’s biggest draws is the food. Local vendors serve authentic dishes such as empanadas, pupusas, arepas, tacos, churros, and fresh fruit drinks. It’s a culinary tour of Latin America without leaving Charlotte.
